Grow Small Business Relationships
- Network and leverage centers of influence
- Build real relationships with existing customers (book of business)
- Be active in the community
- Maintain a consistent small business lending pipeline
- Plan, set, and conduct outbound calls and appointments
- Send thank you notes
- Quickly follow up and document activities in Synapsis
- Actively prospect to grow book of business using various tools
- Work with business partners to deepen relationships by identifying solutions and facilitating introductions
Grow Consumer Relationships
- Work with SSM to train and empower team to execute on BUILD, 8 Step Sales Process and our Customer Service Promise
- Engage customers on inbound and outbound calls to uncover additional opportunities
- Ask for referrals
- Use and advocate for digital
- Support SSM to develop, train, and empower team to grow existing and new customer relationships by driving sales conversations and activities
Developing Your Team and Yourself
- Owning the development of yourself and SSM
- Looking for new, talented professionals who would bring value to FCB
- Effectively onboarding new employees to ensure a positive start to their career here
- Managing both the experience and the details

Manage Operations and Compliance
- Always be dedicated to protecting the privacy and security of our customers
- Collaborate with SSM on ensuring proper completion of all account opening and loan documents, and transaction processing
- Manage NSF/OD and other fee retention by ensuring the team is having the right conversation
- Oversee proper cash handling, teller differences, and dual control guidelines
- Manage internal controls

Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications
- An associate’s degree or equivalent experience
- Three (3) or more years of relevant experience in small business development and lending within a customer-centric sales environment with a proven track record of leading, exceeding assigned goals, and developing talent
- Excellent communications skills, passionate about helping others, motivated to learn, solutions-based sales skills, professionalism, resourcefulness, exceptional relationship-building skills, ability to excel in a complex and dynamic environment
- Tech-savvy (i.e., Microsoft Office, Internet, mobile technology, bank systems)
- Must register and maintain current registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS)
- A valid driver’s license and local and/or regional travel required
