Financial Services Representative

About the role

We're seeking a Financial Counselor (Financial Service Representative) to join our team at MCRM Fertility's St. Louis, MO location. This role works closely with our financial counselors and interacts directly with patients.

Responsibilities

• Meet with patients following provider visits to review insurance coverage and out-of-pocket costs.
• Verify insurance benefits and eligibility online or by phone as needed.
• Clearly explain the cost of treatment based on medical recommendations, with empathy and professionalism.
• Maintain a positive, patient-facing demeanor and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Collaborate closely with billing staff, physicians, and other departments.
• Demonstrate flexibility, compassion, and respect in all patient and team interactions.
• Accurately interpret and explain insurance benefits in plain language.
• Maintain attention to detail while handling sensitive financial information.
• Use sound judgment and decision-making skills in complex or emotionally sensitive situations.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office or billing role.
• Proficient in Excel and comfortable using various computer systems.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Strong commitment to providing a high level of customer service.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as needed.

Schedule

This is a full-time, hybrid role, combining remote work with time in our St. Louis, MO office. Remote days will range from 2-3 per week. No weekends.
