Responsibilities
- Counsel and cross-sell members on all services offered by Founders and make decisions on loans as specified in the Loan Originator section of Loan Policy.
- Understand and explain new eligibility requirements for membership.
- Open new accounts (Savings, checking, money management, etc.), account maintenance, ordering checks, and assist members with service-related issues.
- Recognize and cross-sell Founders products and services, including Call 24, Online Banking, Mobile Banking, eStatements, Visa Debit/Credit Cards, ATM cards, etc.
- Maintain share certificates and IRAs, provide counseling, process account maintenance, and stay informed about relevant regulations.
- Maintain an individual cash box and comply with regulatory and procedural guidelines.
- Process plastic card applications, issue cards, change PIN numbers, assist with problems, and refer members to Founders Investment and Insurance Service agents.
- Approve loans within Matrix Lending authority guidelines and seek further approval for larger requests.
- Provide assistance with collecting delinquent accounts, verify proper lien recording, insurance verification, and value assessment before loan closing.
- Work in various offices as needed and comply with Founders’ policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum two years of experience in a financial institution handling complex member issues, or two years of customer service experience.
- Associate degree (2-year degree).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with members.
- Efficient, accurate, and independent work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with computer systems and ability to learn new software as needed.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) applicants strongly encouraged, though not required.
