About the role

EY’s Financial Services Organization (FSO) is dedicated to the financial services industry, serving clients across Banking and Capital Markets, Wealth and Asset Management, Insurance, and Real Estate, Hospitality and Construction. The International Tax and Transaction Services (ITTS) practice advises corporate and private equity clients on all aspects of their capital agenda, including Transaction Tax Advisory, International Corporate Tax Advisory, and Transfer Pricing. As a Senior in Cross Border Tax, you will advise on complex international tax matters, align multi-jurisdictional tax areas through investment modeling, and support cross-border methods, disputes, and corporate acquisitions.

  • Lead cross-border planning and restructuring
  • Review foreign income taxation, treaty implementation, and withholding
  • Provide jurisdiction-specific reporting guidance

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute engagement deliverables while tracking status, economics, resources, and budgets
  • Participate daily in client work sessions as a workstream member, with opportunities to lead
  • Support sales (~5–10%), assist with RFPs, and maintain engagement-economics reporting
  • Operate with limited supervision and guide junior team members
  • Apply broad policies and precedents to guide decisions
  • Implement procedures and guidelines across workstreams
  • Conduct in-depth evaluations where variable factors drive analysis

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (4-year degree) required
  • Typically 2–4 years of relevant experience
  • Progress toward (or completion of) a valid CPA certification or licensed attorney status
  • Experience in tax due diligence, deal structuring, post-acquisition planning, and/or inbound and outbound transaction consulting with international tax research, planning, and compliance
  • Experience managing budgets, projects, and people
  • Knowledge of tax compliance and reporting requirements, cross-border tax implications, international tax structures, BEPS planning, and global/international tax planning
  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation

Pay

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $91,100 to $150,200. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) is $109,400 to $170,600. Individual salaries are determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
