Financial Services - International Corporate Tax Advisory - Senior

The International Tax and Transaction Services (ITTS) practice combines Transaction Tax Advisory, International Corporate Tax Advisory, and Transfer Pricing to advise corporate and private equity clients on all aspects of their capital agenda. As a Senior in Cross Border Tax, you’ll tackle complex international tax matters, align multi-jurisdictional tax areas through investment modeling, and support cross-border methods, disputes, and corporate acquisitions. Key focus areas include:
- Leading cross-border planning and restructuring
- Reviewing foreign income taxation, treaty implementation, and withholding
- Providing jurisdiction-specific reporting guidance
This role offers global exposure, daily client collaboration, and accelerated growth through high-impact delivery. Travel to client sites is required regularly.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute engagement deliverables while tracking status, economics, resources, and budgets
- Participate in daily client work sessions as a workstream member, with opportunities to lead
- Support sales (~5–10%), assist with RFPs, and maintain engagement-economics reporting
- Operate with limited supervision and guide junior team members
- Apply broad policies and precedents to guide decisions and implement procedures across workstreams
- Conduct in-depth evaluations where variable factors drive analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (4-year degree) required
- Typically 2–4 years of relevant experience
- Progress toward (or completion of) a valid CPA certification or licensed attorney status
- Experience in tax due diligence, deal structuring, post-acquisition planning, or inbound/outbound transaction consulting with international tax research, planning, and compliance
- Knowledge of tax compliance and reporting requirements, cross-border tax implications, international tax structures, BEPS planning, and global/international tax planning
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
Skills
- Identifying and resolving complex domestic and international tax issues
- Providing technical tax advice and planning services across a portfolio of projects
- Building long-lasting client relationships and understanding their unique needs
- Staying updated on emerging trends, technologies, and practices to maintain trusted advisor status
- Managing engagement economics across the EY global network and delivering against locally set objectives
- Tracking deliverables, status, and outcomes while meeting targets
- Coordinating junior work with day-to-day guidance
- Operating with limited supervision and making decisions using experience and precedents
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will also have:
- Experience maintaining engagement-economics reports and assisting on RFP responses
- Exposure to resource planning, status tracking, and budget stewardship
- Participation in daily client sessions as a workstream member or team lead

Pay
The base salary range for this job in most US geographic locations is $91,100 to $150,200. For New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento), the range is $109,400 to $170,600. Individual salaries are determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
