About the role
The opportunity is to work in the Business Tax Advisory practice focusing on U.S. tax information reporting & withholding matters. You will work in a group environment on challenging information reporting and withholding engagements across all financial services sectors.
Responsibilities
- Interpret IRS Code and Regulations
- Draft guidance
- Data analysis and requirements development
- Gap analysis of clients' policies, procedures and systems
- Write business requirements
- Prepare documentation including presentations and flow charts
- Technical analysis and process improvement
- Respond to requests for proposals from clients
- Support the development of innovative technology solutions
- Train and manage staff located in remote delivery centers
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- J.D., LL.M. in Taxation, or Master's in Taxation (MST) preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant tax consulting or tax operational experience
- Licensed attorney, CPA, EA, or certified member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation
- Active participation in industry groups such as SIFMA, ABA, IIB
- Demonstrated interest in tax information reporting and withholding work in Chapter 3, Chapter 4 and Chapter 61 or similar experience

Pay
The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $102,100 to $187,000. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $122,600 to $212,800.
Schedule
Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you'll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You'll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
