About the role
The opportunity is to join the Business Tax Advisory practice within EY’s Financial Services Organization (FSO). This practice focuses on US tax information reporting & withholding matters, particularly in the financial services, banking, insurance, and multinational sectors. Engagements include FATCA, cost basis reporting, and CRS.
Responsibilities
- Interpret IRS Code and Regulations
- Write policy and procedure documents
- Conduct gap analyses and write business requirements
- Prepare documentation including presentations and flow charts
- Perform technical analysis and process improvements
- Respond to requests for proposals from clients
- Support the development of innovative technology solutions
- Train and manage staff located in remote delivery centers
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant tax consulting or tax operational experience
- A license as a licensed attorney or CPA
Qualifications
- A J.D., LL.M. in Taxation, or MST preferred
- A demonstrated interest in tax information reporting and withholding work in Chapter 3, Chapter 4, and Chapter 61

Benefits
EY offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, including:
- Base salary range: $128,400 to $235,300 (New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California excluding Sacramento: $154,000 to $267,400)

Pay
Base salary range: $128,400 to $235,300 (New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California excluding Sacramento: $154,000 to $267,400)
Schedule
Hybrid model with most people in external, client-serving roles expected to work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project, or year.
