About the role

The opportunity is to join the Business Tax Advisory practice within EY’s Financial Services Organization (FSO). This practice focuses on US tax information reporting & withholding matters, particularly in the financial services, banking, insurance, and multinational sectors. Engagements include FATCA, cost basis reporting, and CRS-related global compliance and reporting initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret IRS Code and Regulations
  • Write policy and procedure documents
  • Conduct gap analyses and write business requirements
  • Prepare documentation including presentations and flow charts
  • Perform technical analysis and process improvements
  • Respond to client requests for proposals
  • Support the development of innovative technology solutions
  • Train and manage remote staff

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant tax consulting or tax operational experience
  • A license as a licensed attorney or CPA

Qualifications

  • A J.D., LL.M. in Taxation, or MST preferred
  • A demonstrated interest in tax information reporting and withholding work in Chapter 3, Chapter 4, and Chapter 61

Pay

The base salary range for this role in the US is $128,400 to $235,300. For New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento), the range is $154,000 to $267,400.

Schedule

We offer a flexible vacation policy and a hybrid model where most people in external, client-serving roles work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project, or year.
