Responsibilities
- Represent creditors, lenders, and financial institutions in state and federal proceedings, including matters involving foreclosure, collections, and bankruptcy
- Advises clients on loan restructuring, workouts, and recovery strategies
- Drafts pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda related to debt enforcement and financial disputes
- Negotiates and prepares settlement agreements, loan modifications, forbearance agreements, and related transactional documents
- Conducts legal research and analysis on complex commercial and financial issues
- Collaborates with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Admission to at least one U.S. state bar (additional admissions a plus)
- 2–5 years of experience in creditors’ rights, bankruptcy, or financial services litigation
- Strong litigation, drafting, and negotiation skills
- Excellent research, writing, and communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
