What You'll Do
- Support the administration of KLC financial services programs for member agencies.
- Cook with finance officers, trustees, bond counsel, financial advisors, and other partners on municipal finance matters.
- Aid in financing applications, transaction schedules, lease documents, bond closings, disbursements, and ongoing program administration.
- Maintain accurate records for bond financing, investment activity, and related financial programs.
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, reports, audit information, and other financial documentation.
- Review Trustee statements, monitor disclosure items, and assist in ensuring transactions are properly recorded and compliant with applicable requirements.
- Support monthly administrative tasks, annual reports, marketing efforts, trainings, presentations, and special projects.
What We Are Looking For
- A degree in finance, accounting, business administration, public administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in accounting, finance, budgeting, municipal finance, governmental accounting, or a related field preferred.
- A strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy in managing financial records, deadlines, and recurring processes.
- The ability to analyze financial information, prepare reports, reconcile accounts, and support complex transactions.
- The willingness to learn governmental financing systems, bond programs, investment activity, and related laws and regulations.
- Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with city officials, finance officers, auditors, advisors, and internal staff.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and confidence using financial software platforms.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel occasionally within Kentucky.
