Financial Service Representative (Flex Team)
About the Role
As a Financial Services Representative I on the Flex Team at Canandaigua National Bank, you will work as an active member of the Branch Office sales and service team. This role involves developing customer relationships, identifying cross-selling opportunities, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Solicit new business from present and prospective customers while maintaining ongoing relationships to identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Provide sales information on a timely basis for inclusion in monthly and year-to-date sales performance reports.
- Develop a quarterly individual sales plan to achieve personal sales goals.
- Perform all duties of a Teller as needed.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of bank products and services to ascertain customer needs and sell accordingly.
- Provide direct service to customers for deposit, loan, trust, and other products; approve or reject loan applications within individual lending authority.
- Assist customers in obtaining specialized services from other bank departments and address specific inquiries or service problems.
- Comply with operating policies and procedures to support regulatory adherence and risk management.
- Actively participate in the community in a manner that reflects favorably on the bank.
- Perform special projects and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) in a related field, or equivalent specialized banking education and training.
- Notary certification or willingness to obtain it as requested.
- Minimum of one (1) year of related experience.
Skills
- Proficient reading, writing, grammar, analytical, and mathematics skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communicative, and sales skills.
- Proficient PC skills and knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures.
- Technical supervisory skills and ability to assist in training branch staff.
- Valid driver’s license and visual/auditory skills.

Pay
Compensation range: $23.50 per hour. The actual salary offered within the range depends on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, skills, level offered, and performance expectations.
