Essential Responsibilities
- Own the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting packages.
- Responsible for distributing reporting and communicating with stakeholders.
- Investigate model performance to determine areas for improvement and coordinate with financial modeling teams to address these.
- Partner with Accounting, Loan Administration, and other business units to determine reporting needs, gather inputs, and align financial assumptions.
- Establish best practices, documentation, and governance for financial reporting.
- Remain abreast of current macroeconomic environment and communicate potential impacts on credit union activities.
- Remain abreast of best practices within the industry through publications, membership in professional organizations and contact with other financial institutions.
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field of study.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in financial risk, financial modeling, or financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, forecasting, and performance metrics.
- Prioritization of communication of complex financial concepts clearly and concisely.
- Advanced proficiency in SAS, Python, Excel.
Preferred Education & Experience
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience managing a team performing financial risk, financial modeling, or financial reporting.
