Financial Restructuring Analyst
Our client is a leading global advisory and investment banking firm that provides strategic financial advice to corporations, private equity sponsors, lenders, and other stakeholders. The firm has built a strong reputation for its expertise in mergers & acquisitions, capital advisory, restructuring, and valuation services, serving clients across a broad range of industries and geographies.
About the Role
The Financial Analyst will join the restructuring team and support senior bankers on a variety of engagements involving distressed companies, creditors, and investors. This role offers significant exposure to financial advisory, investment banking, and restructuring transactions while providing a strong foundation in valuation, financial modeling, and strategic analysis.
Responsibilities
- Support debtor-side and creditor-side restructuring engagements
- Assist with Chapter 11 and out-of-court restructuring transactions
- Participate in debt and equity financing assignments
- Conduct financial analysis for distressed M&A opportunities
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation analyses
- Prepare client presentations, marketing materials, and transaction-related documentation
- Work alongside senior professionals throughout negotiations and transaction execution
- Analyze capital structures, liquidity positions, and strategic alternatives for clients
Analysts work as integral members of deal teams and receive direct exposure to senior-level professionals and client interactions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
- Strong academic performance from an accredited university
- Coursework demonstrating proficiency in accounting and corporate finance
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, restructuring, valuation, corporate finance, or a related advisory field (preferred)
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities
- Understanding of accounting principles and financial statement analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation and public speaking abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proven ability to work effectively across teams and with professionals at all levels
- Demonstrated work ethic and commitment to producing high-quality deliverables
Pay
- Expected Base Salary Range: $135,000 - $145,000
- Bonus: Up to 100% of base salary
