This role will assist with monthly close responsibilities and the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and supporting schedules. To be successful as a Summer Intern, you should be willing to help with any tasks assigned by a supervisor. You will assist with the monthly & quarterly closes and be involved in upcoming and current projects. Job Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and supporting schedules.Record journal entries and perform analysis of financial statements.Assist internal, external, and regulatory auditors in retrieving requested documentation.Perform special projects as required or requested.Review and analyze tasks to identify potential operational efficiencies and automated solutions for manual processes. Required Skills & Qualifications Interest in the Property and Casualty Insurance industryStudents currently in their Sophomore or Junior year pursuing a bachelors degree in accountingCurrently have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higherExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesHigh level of intellectual curiosityEffective communicator (verbal and written)Strong attention to detailDesire to work collaboratively in a team environmentCommutable to our West Trenton, New Jersey office The Financial Reporting Intern role can pay $21-$22 hour.
