Financial Reporting Director

About the role

The FAR team is seeking a Director to lead regional and local ad-hoc financial analysis, support process improvement initiatives, and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial information shared across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely, accurate financial reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis in compliance with IFRS and internal policies
• Review and challenge market financial submissions; identify and explain key variances, trends and/or inconsistencies
• Provide technical accounting guidance on matters related to reporting, policy, transformation and M&A activity
• Respond to inquiries from the Group Reporting teams in London and Japan and support ad-hoc analysis requests
• Partner closely with FP&A, Legal, Tax, Transformation, and all practice areas to resolve accounting and reporting issues
• Prepare detailed analysis of regional balance sheet performance, net working capital, cash flow, and cash conversion metrics
• Provide insights that support executive decision-making and strategic planning
• Aid in regional audit requests including quarterly analytics and various other regional PBCs
• Support the Regional and US Controllers in Ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and requests

Qualifications

• Experience in Financial Reporting (such as external audit, controllership, etc.) or Financial Reporting
• Strong knowledge of IFRS
• Excellent analytical, presentation, and delivery skills
• Strong stakeholder management and communications skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Finance, Accounting, or Business Degree
• Professional qualification (CPA, ACA, CIMA)
• Experience in a similar role
• Experience in a global or multi-market finance environment

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is ($113,000 - $175,000).

Schedule

This position requires a 3-day work week in the office for employees based in Chicago, metro Detroit, Los Angeles, and New York City. Remote work is possible for those living outside these areas.
