Job Overview
Atlantic Group is hiring a Financial Reporting & Accounting Manager in Boone County, MO for our client, supporting statutory accounting, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and accounting operations within a growing financial services environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee statutory accounting activities, regulatory filings, financial reporting, and compliance-related reporting requirements.
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions including ledger activity, reconciliations, claims accounting, revenue recognition, and financial analysis.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support operational consistency and regulatory compliance.
- Partner with finance, treasury, external service providers, and internal leadership to support investment accounting, reporting accuracy, and operational initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff while supporting workflow management, project execution, and departmental priorities.
- Assist with reporting enhancements, operational efficiencies, trend analysis, and strategic accounting initiatives across the organization.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, including 3+ years of statutory accounting experience and prior leadership experience, is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience within insurance, financial services, regulatory reporting, or statutory accounting environments is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and strong knowledge of statutory accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and regulatory filings are required.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical skills, leadership abilities, communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment are required.
