Financial Reporting Accountant
About the role
The Parking Spot is seeking a full-time Financial Reporting Accountant with 2-3 years of experience. Public accounting background is highly preferred. This individual will be responsible for providing timely, insightful, actionable, and accurate financial reporting, forecasting, analysis, and recommendations to key functional areas throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
- Book monthly close journal entries and prepare balance sheet reconciliations (fixed assets, construction in progress, GAAP entries)
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the proper capitalization of fixed assets in compliance with GAAP standards
- Review the capital outflow and book depreciation/amortization monthly
- Research and recommend proper GAAP treatment as issues arise
- Use Infor software to assist in the generation of key financial metrics and reports
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Support the annual financial statement audit by preparing audit schedules, providing supporting documentation, and responding to auditor requests in a timely manner
- Aid in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls within the accounting function
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
- 2-3 years of experience (Big 4/National accounting firm experience a plus)
- CPA designation or working towards CPA

Qualifications
Required:
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with financial reporting systems
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Pay
Salary Range: $85,000 per year - $95,000 per year
