About the role
The Financial Recovery Support Specialist plays a crucial role in providing emotional and practical support to individuals navigating financial recovery. This role involves assisting clients with budgeting, debt management, and accessing community resources.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to clients to help them manage their finances and overcome obstacles.
- Collaborate with other professionals to develop comprehensive recovery plans for clients.
- Assist clients in accessing government benefits and financial aid programs.
- Document client interactions and progress in a secure database.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on best practices and industry trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in financial counseling or related field.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
