What We Need
You are needed to join our Division of Environmental Response and Revitalization (DERR) as a financial program manager at our Central Office in Columbus, Ohio. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented person to handle DERR's financial operations.
What We Do
- Oversee the division's accounts payable/receivable and purchasing activity to ensure all transactions meet federal and state requirements.
- Handle the fiscal side of DERR's grant programs—from applications and amendments to maintaining grant files and completing close-outs.
- Guide the tracking of the division's Level of Effort (LOE) mobilizations to ensure compliance with state procurement rules.
- Cook up fiscal management of DERR's cost recovery and fee collections, working closely with program staff and associated agency and state offices.
- Design and build custom financial reports in various electronic systems to produce clear, actionable reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
We're seeking someone with solid financial skills and interests in environmental protection. A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred, but we'll consider other options if you have the right experience.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Related Field (Preferred)
- 54 months of experience or 54 months targeted in financial administration
- Completion of an undergraduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance, or related field (with 30 months of experience or 30 months targeted in financial administration)
- Completion of a graduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance, or related field (with 18 months of experience or 18 months targeted in financial administration)
- Equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above
- Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 months of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications
