Financial Planning & Analysis Controller - Process Automation Lead
About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide analytical support and process optimization capabilities within variable compensation processes. The role focuses on the calculation and modeling of incentive programs, including accruals and payout calculations, while driving efficiency through automation.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end calculation and modeling of variable sales bonus plans.
- Manage accrual estimates and final payout calculations, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Lead and support the automation of key processes within the compensation team, leveraging scalable data and automation tools and supporting the adoption of Alteryx.
- Partner with Finance Business Partners, Sales Operations, Compensation, and Reporting to explain models, resolve issues, and drive alignment.
- Perform detailed data analysis and validation to ensure accuracy and integrity of compensation outputs.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Translate business requirements into structured data and automation solutions.
- Support reporting activities and provide insights into compensation performance and trends.
- Participate in cross-functional projects related to compensation, reporting, and process improvements.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in Finance, Compensation, Data Analytics, or similar roles.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with ability to work with large datasets and perform complex calculations.
- Advanced Excel skills (large datasets, modeling, automation).
- Experience with data and automation tools (e.g., SQL, Python, BI tools such as Power BI); ability to learn and apply Alteryx (Alteryx experience preferred).
- Experience with Microsoft Power Automate preferred.
- Experience working with ERP systems and data integration preferred.
- Experience building automated workflows and validation checks preferred.
- Knowledge of variable compensation and incentive programs preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes, competing priorities, and tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to explain complex logic to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical/data solutions.
- Strong collaboration skills and cross-functional mindset.
- Proactive, ownership-driven approach with high learning agility and adaptability.
- Experience with AI-powered tools preferred.
