Financial Patient Accounts Lead

Essential Job Functions

• Affords feedback on processes and staffing to the Patient Accounting Manager.
• Maintains productivity and quality metrics and reports results to manager with suggestions.
• Assists with the oversight of daily activities of patient accounting areas to ensure standards are met, including staffing levels for daily assignments.
• Accountable and participates in required workflow.
• Supervises audits of accounts receivable operations to assess compliance, effectiveness, and accuracy of charges before issuing billing.
• Reviews that all patient charges and activities are properly coded and posted to the correct patient within the established timeframe.
• Approves accounts to be written off or sent to collections and completes the associated paperwork necessary to process the account.
• Aids in monitoring departmental goals, providing proactive suggestions for achieving financial goals, demonstrating accountability for special projects, and addressing volume-related backlog situations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 Years of experience.
