About the role

TurbineOne is a fast-moving and high-performance startup focused on enhancing situational awareness for frontline personnel in the U.S. We develop the Frontline Perception System, a software platform designed for non-technical users to build and utilize machine learning models in a contested tactical environment. • Operational Gatekeeping: Manage day-to-day expense approvals, ensuring all spend aligns with internal policies and reflects "best judgment" for company dollars.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain an accurate general ledger of transactions and reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies with surgical precision.
  • AR/AP Processing: Develop and execute a scalable process for processing receivables and payables for the company.
  • Systems Architecture: Play a key role in designing and implementing our next-generation ERP system, moving us away from early-stage tools into a modern, scalable financial ecosystem.
  • Audit & Compliance: Support the company’s first accounting audit and maintain a "permanent-readiness" posture, ensuring full compliance with GAAP and industry-specific standards.

Requirements

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of professional experience or an Associate's degree with 10+ years of experience, preferably in accounting/finance. Professional experience in high-growth technology or government contracting is a plus.
  • Discipline & Detail: An uncompromising eye for detail when it comes to data integrity and financial documentation, along with prompt, punctual execution to ensure financial processes are never a barrier to business progress.
  • Adaptive Mindset: The ability to maintain rigorous financial standards while being flexible and proactive in a fast-paced, mission-driven startup environment.
  • Growth Mindset: The judgment to provide the right balance of structure to enable a stable platform for growth without stifling the team with unnecessary process.

Qualifications
