We are looking for an experienced Financial Manager/Portfolio Manager to support strategic finance activities across a real estate investment and property management portfolio. This position works closely with senior leadership to translate financial results into forward-looking recommendations, support investment decisions, and strengthen portfolio performance. The role offers a blend of planning, analysis, reporting, and transaction support within a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Direct portfolio budgeting, rolling forecasts, and multi-year financial planning to help leadership set priorities and measure performance.
  • Build and refine complex financial models used to assess acquisitions, refinancing strategies, capital projects, and other major business initiatives.
  • Review operating and investment results by examining occupancy trends, revenue drivers, expense patterns, cash flow, and return metrics across assigned assets.
  • Create clear reporting materials for executives, lenders, board stakeholders, and investors that clearly communicate financial results and business outlook.
  • Contribute to acquisition efforts through underwriting, financial due diligence, valuation review, and coordination of post-close financial integration activities.
  • Collaborate with asset management, operations, and accounting teams to identify opportunities that enhance profitability and increase asset value.
  • Perform in-depth variance analysis to explain performance shifts and recommend actions that improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Assess financing structures, capital spending plans, and investment scenarios to support sound decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Lead finance-related special projects, including reporting enhancements and process automation initiatives using advanced Excel and financial systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, portfolio management, investment analysis, real estate finance, or public accounting.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities, including financial modeling, pivot tables, scenario analysis, complex formulas, and management of large datasets.
  • Background working with property management or real estate finance platforms such as Yardi, RealPage, Entrata, or similar systems is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to present financial insights to senior leaders, lenders, investors, or ownership groups.
  • Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and executive-level business partnering ability.
  • Experience with business intelligence or data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
