Responsibilities

  • Apply detailed, intensive knowledge of policies, precedents, goals, objectives, regulations, and guidelines of a financial functional area.
  • Utilize comprehensive, detailed knowledge of budgetary policies, precedents, procedures, and regulations.
  • Maintain intensive knowledge of administrative and financial management systems.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve a range of budgetary problems, including developing alternative methods of funding.
  • Apply analytical reasoning to identify, analyze, and conceptualize budgetary problems and develop alternative solutions.

Requirements

GS-11: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

  • Detailed intensive knowledge of policies, precedents, goals, objectives, regulations, and guidelines of a functional area.
  • Comprehensive, detailed knowledge and understanding of budgetary policies, precedents, procedures, and regulations.
  • Intensive knowledge of administrative and financial management systems.
  • Skill in identifying, analyzing, and resolving a range of budgetary problems, such as development of alternative methods of funding.
  • Analytical reasoning skills to identify, analyze, and conceptualize budgetary problems and develop alternative solutions.

GS-12: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

  • Analyzing and modifying information within a financial management system to generate reports and adjust for changes in funding requirements.
  • Overseeing complex research, analysis, and interpretation of a variety of financial/supply databases to manage funds for an organization.
  • Coordinating with team members and senior management to collect, analyze, or interpret financial/supply information.
  • Training team members on selection and application of appropriate problem-solving methods in financial management systems.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to subordinate team members on specific work methods and financial management procedures.
  • Supply and financial knowledge as it relates to Commercial Asset Visibility (CAV) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for inventory accuracy.
