About the role

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the FLT COMPTROLLER, FINANCIAL MGMT of COMMANDER US FLEET FORCES COMMAND.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain account reference data in various financial management systems including Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP), to establish or change accounts and/or lines of accounting.
  • Run and monitor reports from N-ERP, Program Budget Information System (PBIS), and Defense Departmental Reporting System - Budget (DDRS-B).
  • Cook up and monitor the monthly posting of field level journal vouchers (FLJVs) and extract end of month (EOM) financial reports from N-ERP, ADVANA/ Jupiter, and/or DDRS-B.
  • Conduct end-of-month and end-of-year close out processes in N-ERP.
  • Review supporting documentation, complete, and track all FLJVs for the BSO.
  • Utilize N-ERP and ADVANA/Jupiter to create various financial reports and utilize these reports to assist with management decisions and to respond to data calls.
  • Monitor and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all BSO activities across all open Fiscal Years (FYs) and all active GL systems.
  • Manage, coordinate, and execute areas of funds activity, including monthly performance metrics, financial reporting, and data analysis for ASN, and C data calls.
  • Interpret and implement higher-level guidance and communicate complex financial processes and technical topics within and across the BSO.
  • Manage team tasks across the BSO; monitor and review progress; and report on work progress through all stages of completeness.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Must achieve Financial Management Level II certification within prescribed timelines.
  • Experience researching and correcting problem financial transactions to ensure they are properly recorded in the General Ledger.
  • Experience analyzing reports to determine the financial health of the BSO.
  • Experience educating groups on financial processes.
  • Experience analyzing processes to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Experience preparing and delivering briefs to Leadership.

Qualifications

  • GS-12: Your Resume Must Demonstrate At Least One Year Of Specialized Experience At Or Equivalent To The GS-11 Grade Level Or Pay Band In The Federal Service Or Equivalent Experience In The Private Or Public Sector.
  • Specialized Experience Must Demonstrate The Following Experience researching and correcting problem financial transactions to ensure they are properly recorded in the General Ledger.
  • Experience analyzing reports to determine the financial health of the BSO.
  • Experience educating groups on financial processes.
  • Experience analyzing processes to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Experience preparing and delivering briefs to Leadership.
