Primary Responsibilities
- Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits of prospects/referrals
- Communicates patient benefits in a timely manner
- Documents and forwards patient deductible, out-of-pocket expense, lifetime maximum, home health or hospice days, and patient responsibility to agency in an accurate and timely manner
- Reviews and replies to branch location's urgent requests in a timely and accurate manner
- Initiates one time letters of agreement (LOAs) and negotiates rates as dictated by established policies and procedures
- Obtains and documents all authorization as needed from payer for services ordered/requested in a timely manner
- Serves as a liaison between the branch location and the payer
- Resolves all customer requests, inquiries, and concerns in an expedient and respectful manner
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience with insurance verification and authorization
- Preferred qualifications: Revenue cycle experience, excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent organizational and analytical skills, basic PC skills including PC based applications (MS Word, Excel), mathematical aptitude, detail oriented

Pay and Schedule
- The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $21.65 per hour based on full-time employment

Qualifications
Preferably 1+ years of experience with insurance verification and authorization. Preferred qualifications include revenue cycle experience, excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent organizational and analytical skills, basic PC skills including PC based applications (MS Word, Excel), mathematical aptitude, and detail oriented.
