Financial Data Analyst Intern (Year-round)

About the role

The New York office of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP is looking for a Financial Data Analyst Intern to support the Finance & Accounting Team. Willkie is an elite international law firm of approximately 1,300 lawyers located in 16 offices in six countries. The Financial Data Analyst Intern will gain valuable hands-on experience in a law firm environment. The Intern will support the finance team in analyzing, interpreting, and reporting financial data to support business decisions and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Assist with compiling financial information to prepare journal entries
• Assist with Foreign operations accounting
• Account reconciliation preparation and analysis
• Assist with Fixed Asset accounting
• Exposure to ad-hoc reporting tools (Excel, Access, Crystal Reports)
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Student pursuing accountant or finance degree with strong academic record
• Must be entering Junior or Senior year
• Proficiency in Excel, Access, Microsoft
• A detailed oriented, critical thinker with strong analytic skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
• Work effectively as an individual or within groups
• Must be a team player and self-starter

ADA Requirements

• Ability to sit at a desk most of the working day and walk short distances
• Needs manual dexterity, speed and accuracy in handling office equipment
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption
• Ability to work in close proximity to other individuals
• Ability to carry light objects, e.g., files, small objects and supplies a short distance
• Must be able to lift, carry and move objects up to 15lbs

Pay

USD $20.00 - USD $28.00 /Yr. This position is a part-time hourly role and benefits eligibility will be more limited.
