Facility Overview

Texas NeuroRehab Center is a specialized treatment facility located ten minutes from downtown Austin on 67 wooded acres. Originally a cattle ranch purchased in 1943, it has operated for over 60 years as a medical rehabilitation and behavioral healthcare facility. The center provides complex medical and brain and spinal cord injury rehabilitation for ages 13 and older, as well as neuropsychiatric treatment for youth, offering integrated and specialized care for children, adolescents, and adults.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, develop, and maintain Managed Care agreements/contracts through negotiations with regional and national payors.
• Research the market and establish a plan for effectively prioritizing future contracts.
• Demonstrate high‑level problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Coordinate and interface with the Contracting/Financial Counseling Manager to initiate and complete contracts.
• Collaborate with and educate multiple hospital teams to ensure full understanding of contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Computer literate in word processing and spreadsheets; typing speed of 50 words per minute.
• High school diploma required; preferred bachelor’s degree in health care administration or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in public relations activities and negotiating/contracting; prior healthcare experience preferred.
• Physical ability to sit for four to six hours daily at a computer terminal, use a keyboard, hear and speak clearly, perform repetitive hand and vision tasks, lift 11–25 pounds occasionally, and bend/stoop to reach files and supplies.
• Emotional stability to perform essential job functions and endure workplace demands.
