Financial Counselor

This is a full time, 1.0 FTE hybrid position with one day per week required onsite at 2550 Charles Street, Rockford, IL. Eight-hour shifts between the hours of 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM will be scheduled Monday-Friday. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Responsibilities

• Provide patients with estimated costs for upcoming services.
• Assist patients in understanding the billing prepayment process.
• Review patients' coverage to determine overall cost for the patients' specific plan of care.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Associate's Degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration or related field (Preferred)
• 1 year experience in Health Care Revenue Cycle, insurance, or financial institution (Required)
• 2 years experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle (Preferred)
