About the role
Hanover Hill Behavioral Health, located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, will combine two leaders in health care, in the partnership of Universal Health Services & Lehigh Valley Health Network starting in late fall 2025. This brand new 144-bed free standing behavioral health facility will offer the community high-quality behavioral health care services for seniors, adults and adolescents. Hanover Hill is seeking an experienced Financial Counselor.
Responsibilities
- Verify primary and secondary insurance coverage for the patients of Hanover Hill Behavioral Health.
- Notify all relevant parties and explain insurance benefits.
- Review insurance certification letters and ensure authorization numbers are entered on patient accounts prior to billing.

Qualifications
- A High School Diploma, or equivalent, is required, and an Associate's Degree is preferred.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience is required, and 3-4 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Experience in admission process and insurance verification procedures, and a working knowledge of managed care; interpretation of insurance coverage plans, co-payments and deductible schedules and payment plans is preferred.
