Coastal Fertility Specialists is growing and has an immediate opening for a Financial Counselor. This is an incredibly rewarding career where over 95% of couples trying to conceive will do so with our help.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all insurance and eligibility information is obtained and entered into the system in an accurate manner.
• Ensuring that prior authorizations are obtained prior to fertility treatments.
• Conducting financial counseling with patients prior to fertility treatment, which includes patient financial obligations, billing practices and financing options.
• Collecting cycle deposits prior to fertility treatments.
• Working closely with peers and communicating with a high level of professionalism.
• Effectively utilizing virtual counseling or other electronic modes of communication such as email, video conferencing and more.
• Multi-tasking and prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding deductibles, coinsurance, and allowable amounts to calculate financial costs.

Requirements

• At least two years of prior experience obtaining insurance information and communicating with individuals about sensitive matters in a medical office setting are preferred.

Qualifications

• Firm understanding of deductibles, coinsurance, and allowable amounts.

Skills

• Effective communication skills, especially in a medical office setting.
• Proficiency in virtual counseling or other electronic modes of communication.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work.
