Financial Controller, North America

Responsibilities
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare GAAP/IFRS-compliant financial statements, management reports, KPI dashboards, and variance analyses.
- Partner with operations leadership to monitor project performance, profitability, margins, and resource utilization.
- Manage job cost accounting for both time-and-material and fixed-price projects, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and visibility into project performance.
- Analyze project costs and operational trends to support forecasting, pricing decisions, and business planning.
- Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and financial planning activities.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital, collections support, and line-of-credit administration.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activities, and multi-state payroll coordination.
- Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting processes, and financial compliance.
- Serve as the finance lead for ERP optimization, process automation initiatives, and future systems integrations.
- Support leadership with financial analysis, business recommendations, and strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of accounting, controllership, or operational finance experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting.
- Experience with project accounting, job costing, WIP analysis, revenue recognition, or percentage-of-completion accounting.
- Experience supporting service, construction, field-service, industrial, energy, manufacturing, or project-based businesses.
- Strong ERP experience (Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Flower Mound, TX, with occasional travel to Canada and Oklahoma City, OK.
- Occasional travel to Denmark for strategic meetings may be required.
