Remote role: Open to applicants in the United States and Canada.

Responsibilities

• Predictably forecast cash position by monitoring daily cash and profit results.
• Ensure internal controls are in place to accurately and securely account for financial assets and meet all regulatory reporting and payment requirements.
• Manage the accounting team and set processes for timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Complete monthly reports to management and the parent company (AUO) within required timelines.
• Manage relationships with auditors and ensure the annual audit/review is completed with a clean opinion.
• Resolve discrepancies by improving existing processes and implementing new ones.
• Lead the accounting team in executing and continuously improving tactics and processes, ensuring each member knows their quarterly objectives and critical numbers.
• Foster a culture of trust, candor, transparency, growth, learning, empowerment, performance, and accountability.
• Ensure team members perform at an “A Player” level, driving improvements when gaps are identified.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation.
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• 3–5+ years experience as a Controller.
• 2+ years experience in a leadership role at a SaaS company.
• Experience with month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Experience with internal and external audits.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
• Understanding of tax compliance and regulatory requirements across Canada, the United States, and Europe.
• Knowledge of internal controls and processes.
• Proven track record managing staff, with ability to work at a senior level while diving into transaction‑level detail as needed.
• Proficiency with NetSuite ERP.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
