Financial Controller

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, taxes, and financial statement reporting
• Manage finance, insurance, trust, and reserve-related accounting functions
• Review and support contract rating to ensure reserves are properly backed
• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure accounting processes are accurate and timely
• Lead and support a team of approximately six accounting and administrative employees
• Oversee team members responsible for AP, cancellations, trust/rate analysis, and related administrative functions
• Work closely with the President and provide clear financial reporting and operational insight
• Partner with internal departments, including Accounting, Compliance, Claims, and Sales Support
• Help improve accounting processes, reporting, and overall department efficiency
• Work within Stone Eagle software, if applicable

Qualifications

• Controller, Accounting Manager, or senior accounting leadership experience preferred
• Automotive accounting experience highly preferred
• Experience with finance and insurance products, trusts, reserves, or related warranty/service contract accounting is a strong plus
• Strong understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, AP, AR, taxes, and financial reporting
• Ability to lead, train, and support a small accounting team
• Comfortable working directly with company leadership
• Ability to work with multiple departments and communicate clearly across the business
• Stone Eagle software experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong attention to detail, urgency, and follow-through

Compensation And Benefits

• Salary range: $85,000 to $110,000, depending on experience
