Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Financial Controller to own the core financial infrastructure of the business. In this highly hands-on role, you will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls across our portfolio of brands. You will ensure financial accuracy, build scalable processes, and provide visibility into the company’s financial performance. This role is suited for someone who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and is comfortable building and improving systems as the business grows. You will play a key role in supporting leadership with financial insights and ensuring strong financial discipline.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and drive performance across accounting operations and financial reporting
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain financial controls and compliance
• Oversee cash flow management and forecasting
• Build and improve systems, processes, and financial infrastructure
• Partner closely with leadership, Operations, and Sales teams to align financial performance with business activity

Requirements

• 3+ years of accounting or finance experience, with prior experience as a Controller or Senior Accounting Manager preferred
• Experience in consumer, e-commerce, retail, or fashion environments strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Experience managing full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, and general ledger
• Proven ability to build and improve financial processes and internal controls
• Experience with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
• Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
• Highly self-motivated with the ability to operate independently and take ownership
• Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and building structure where needed
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
