Financial Compliance Manager

About the role
The Financial Compliance Manager performs highly complex (senior-level) managerial work administering the daily operations and activities of the Financial Reporting and Audit Coordination (FRAC) department’s Financial Compliance team within Medicaid CHIP Services (MCS). This position oversees a team of three and reports to the Director of Financial Compliance. Work entails establishing goals and objectives; developing guidelines, procedures, and policies; developing schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving established goals; conducting staff training; and coordinating and evaluating business function, division, or department activities. Works under limited supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the team’s Agreed Upon Procedures engagements (35%).
- Oversees the review of the team’s assigned financial documentation (20%).
- Provides direction and implementation of contractual remedies to address reporting deficiencies of the health plans (20%).
- Conducts training (10%).
- Develops and updates guidelines, policies, and procedures for the work (10%).
- Leads cross-departmental workgroups to coordinate workflow revisions and staff training to align efforts (5%).
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in accounting, finance, business administration, government administration, or law. Applicable work experience may substitute for education on a year-to-year basis.
- Experience in government, public, or corporate contract administration.
Skills
- Knowledge of Medicaid financial reviews and engagements.
- Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to financial management of Medicaid contracts.
- Knowledge of cost principles governing allowability of costs.
- Skill in communicating complex information to diverse audiences.
- Skill in identifying problems, evaluating alternatives, and implementing solutions.
- Skill in designing and implementing training and technical assistance activities for Agency and contractor staff.
- Ability to prioritize and organize the work of multidisciplinary employees.
- Ability to work in and lead cross-functional teams.
- Ability to exercise judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.
- Ability to plan strategically and to implement improvement strategies.

Pay
$5,797.66 - $7,652.91 monthly
