About the role
This position is located at 680 Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL.
- High school graduate required; BS or BA preferred.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Demonstrates knowledge of utilization management process, including communication with payors and benefit authorization for applicable situations.
- Experience reviewing medical charts/records and abstracting relevant clinical data to support medical necessity of scheduled procedures.
- Minimum two years’ experience in pre-certification initiation in a hospital/facility setting or physician office environment.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $19.50–$30.23 per hour. At Lurie Children’s, we are committed to competitive and fair compensation aligned with market rates and internal equity, reflecting individual contributions, experience, and expertise. The pay range indicates minimum and maximum targets for the position. Ranges are regularly reviewed to stay aligned with market conditions.
