Financial Center Manager II (St. Marys)
About the role
The Financial Center Manager II will be responsible for the achievement of specified banking center and staff performance goals, including ongoing achievement, profitability, deposit and loan growth, and fee income. The FCM will build, develop, and lead a team focused on providing clients with an exceptional experience by presenting financial solutions to meet their needs. The role involves driving new client acquisition, retention, and growth of client relationships, as well as growing non-interest revenue. The FCM will foster a team-oriented environment, ensure compliance with regulatory procedures, and build strong community alliances.
Responsibilities
- Achieve banking center team service levels and performance goals.
- Build, develop, and lead a team focused on delivering an exceptional client experience and deepening client relationships.

- Maintain a banking center environment committed to exceptional client experience to foster loyalty and relationship development.
- Ensure banking center performance goals are met or exceeded, supporting overall District and Region goals.

- Develop a team knowledgeable in bank products, processes, policies, and procedures.
- Manage daily operations, audit scores, and sales execution to ensure banking center success.
- Open deposit accounts, accept and key loan applications, close loans, and coach the team in growing accounts, loans, and deposits for both consumer and business clients.
- Actively manage the onboarding of new clients and ensure timely follow-up calls.
- Manage overall financial center sales and performance, understanding its impact on the District and company.
- Engage in coaching and recognition, updating team members on progress toward goals.
- Develop strong business relationships with key partners (e.g., Business Specialists, Financial Wellness Advisors, Private Bankers, Mortgage Loan Officers, Commercial Partners) to deepen client relationships and identify new opportunities.
- Integrate into the community, developing outside sales opportunities through visibility and participation in community groups.
- Support site-specific community events.
- Align daily activities with The First Financial Bank Experience (FFB Experience), including delivering quality client experiences, deepening client relationships, and actively managing client onboarding.
- Lead daily huddles and team meetings.
- Attract and retain associates who align with First Financial Bank’s culture and promote engagement.
- Assist District Leader and Retail Regional President with interviewing prospective candidates.
- Ensure all associates actively manage their client relationships.
- Develop associates through observational coaching, joint sales calls, and utilization of the coaching model (R.O.P.E.).
- Maintain operational and risk management standards.
- Assist District Leader with facilitation of conference calls and team meetings, and support District/Region communication.
- Act as a liaison between peers, the District Leader, and Retail Regional President to support retail-wide initiatives.
- Adhere to all compliance and regulatory procedures, including BSA, Check 21, CIP, CRA, HMDA, Reg B, Reg D, Reg E, Reg CC, Truth in Savings, Privacy Compliance, and the Patriot Act.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of demonstrated leadership experience in coaching, management, or mentoring in a retail environment.
- 2-4 years of demonstrated success with multiple sales leadership processes and execution.
- 2-4 years of personal experience in sales and service with a track record of achieving sales and service goals in a retail environment.
- 2-4 years of demonstrated success in achieving performance goals.
- Working knowledge of banking policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent banking work experience preferred.
- 2-4 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Pay
$52,000 - $67,000/annual
