PenFed is hiring a Financial Center Manager to work onsite at our Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico Financial Center. This role manages over ten full-time employees or multiple Financial Centers, driving a member-centric culture to improve members' financial lives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily operations of the Financial Center, including performance management, goal achievement, and teammate development.
  • Collaborate effectively to achieve results and build strong relationships.
  • Drive an exceptional member experience by understanding and addressing members' financial needs.
  • Identify solutions for members and resolve problems independently or by involving others as needed.
  • Communicate effectively and confidently with all members.
  • Learn and adapt to new information and technology platforms.
  • Apply strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to meet members' needs.
  • Follow established processes and guidelines, adhering to all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage time and capacity efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and delegating as needed.
  • Interpret performance and operational results, identify opportunities for success, and hold others accountable.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding PenFed products, services, policies, and procedures to assist with complex member needs.
  • Actively network within fields of membership, including local communities, military installations, and affiliated partners to grow brand awareness.
  • Provide support to other Financial Centers, including working weekends and/or extended hours as required.
  • Assist with internal, external, or marketing initiatives that enhance business operations.
  • If a Notary Public, provide members with Notary Services while adhering to all state laws and regulations.
  • Ensure business continuity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
  • Minimum of five years’ related work experience in a management capacity within a financial institution.
  • Three or more years of demonstrated experience building, leading, managing, and coaching a team.
  • Experience in financial services and knowledge of the industry, products, and solutions.
  • Experience in mortgage, retail, or hospitality.
  • Experience working in an environment with individual and team goals routinely met or exceeded.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.
  • Experience using A.I. tools preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position supervises employees.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds. Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required.

Pay

The anticipated starting salary range for this role is $71,000.00 - $83,000.00. This position is eligible for an organizational performance-based annual bonus (subject to board discretion and approval) and an individual performance-based annual bonus.
