About the role

This is a full-time career opportunity (approximately 40 hours per week) based out of our Hanover, MD (Arundel Preserve) financial center at 7692 Dorchester Blvd. Must be available to be scheduled around branch operation hours (no Sundays).

As the leader of a financial center or centers, you will lead all aspects of financial center performance, drive sales growth and service excellence, and foster a culture of success. The role focuses on talent development, individual and team sales performance with consumer and small business clients, community engagement, operational excellence, and strategic leadership to achieve and surpass the financial center's goals.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Sales Performance
    • Utilize Fulton’s sales process and the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to align key activities and behaviors needed to achieve and exceed sales growth for both new and existing customers within the consumer and business segments.
    • Establish employee performance expectations and development plans to identify areas for improvement and set clear, actionable goals.
    • Leverage the CRM to cultivate meaningful relationships with customers, whether onboarding new clients or nurturing existing relationships, with a consistent approach to foster trust and loyalty.
    • Handle complex customer inquiries with tact and efficiency.
  • Leadership and Coaching
    • Actively utilize Fulton coaching models and feedback mechanisms to guide Financial Center employees towards goal attainment and sustained performance excellence.
    • Provide consistent coaching and mentoring to help employees realize their full potential through personalized guidance, role play, customized learning, and support.
    • Empower the team to overcome challenges, develop key competencies, and excel in their roles.
  • Business Development and Community Engagement
    • Build and maintain a strong network within the local community.
    • Engage with individuals, small businesses, and community organizations to promote small business banking products and services.
    • Participate in networking and community activities, including non-profit board or committee positions, to position Fulton as a valuable community partner.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Oversee the implementation of internal processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with all risk management initiatives and regulations.
    • Evaluate and optimize operational efficiency to maximize profitability and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
    • Handle escalated customer issues with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Manage and Develop Talent
    • Plan, assign, and evaluate the work of the financial center team.
    • Screen and select top-notch candidates, provide guidance and coaching, and establish clear goals and objectives for each team member.
    • Monitor volume, workflow, and quality, and manage performance, including performance appraisals and pay recommendations.
  • Strategic Leadership
    • Contribute to broader business and corporate initiatives beyond the financial center.
    • Reinforce strategic goals to the team and stakeholders, lead through organizational change, and partner with the Commercial segment.
    • Champion cultural activities and participate in focus groups and task forces to drive continuous improvement.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Specialty in Business or other applicable field. (Required)
  • Experience:
    • 5 or more years in Banking, Financial Services, or sales. (Required)
    • 3 or more years leading sales, Operations, or Risk Management. (Required)

Skills

  • Ability to motivate a sales team, set expectations, and drive accountability. (Required)
  • Small Business Banking acumen. (Required)
  • Collaboration skills. (Required)
  • Passion and enthusiasm to meet and exceed goals. (Required)

Pay

The salary range for this position is $64,700.00 - $107,900.00 annually.

This job is eligible to participate in a short-term incentive compensation plan subject to individual and company performance.
