About the role
The Comptroller of the Treasury's Audit Internship Program offers undergraduate students a chance to witness and participate in the audit operations of the office. Interns will build skills through assignments to active audits, audit-specific training, and professional development training.
Responsibilities
- Examine and review records, reports, financial statements, and management practices for state and local government entities and other organizations receiving public funds.
- Evaluate fairness of financial statement presentation, adequacy of internal controls, efficiency and effectiveness of operations and systems, and compliance with laws, regulations, contracts, and grant agreements.
Requirements
- Rising juniors, seniors, or graduate accounting students.
- Successfully completed at least 6 hours of Accounting coursework.
- Adaptable, critical thinker, good team player, willingness to learn and grow.
- Interpersonal and communication skills to communicate tactfully with auditees, coworkers, and others.

Pay
$24 per hour via a third-party company. This position may require in-state day travel to audit sites. Audit-related travel will be reimbursed.
