About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Sr. Financial Analyst, Strategic Finance, to join our team. This role is pivotal in evaluating, executing, and integrating strategic investments and acquisitions that align with our growth objectives. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business leaders across Product, Commercial, Corporate Finance, and Corporate Strategy and Business Development teams to assess opportunities, support due diligence, and drive inorganic growth initiatives.
The primary responsibilities include supporting the evaluation of growth investments, contributing to M&A diligence, developing synergy cases, and providing long-range financial planning and insights. This role offers an excellent opportunity to influence decision-making at a high level, support strategic initiatives, and develop expertise in corporate finance and strategic investments. The ideal candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and possess strong financial modeling skills, with a desire to grow in strategic finance. This role requires a proactive mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Support financial evaluation of acquisition targets and strategic investments
- Analyze standalone financials of target companies to identify trends, risks, and inconsistencies
- Build and update financial models, including scenario and sensitivity analyses
- Assess and recommend adjustments to seller financial models, focusing on revenue quality, cost structure, and EBITDA normalization
- Partner with Corporate Development and business leaders to develop and evaluate synergy cases, including revenue and cost synergies
- Support diligence processes such as data room review, Q&A, and synthesis of findings
- Translate diligence findings into actionable insights for executive decision-making
- Assist in post-close integration planning, tracking synergy realization, and monitoring performance against deal assumptions
- Convert complex financial, operational, and market data into strategic recommendations for senior leadership
- Support acquisition integration efforts by tracking performance and identifying opportunities for value enhancement
- Contribute to materials for senior leadership reviews and strategic discussions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, consulting, investment banking, or related roles
- Proven experience in financial modeling, business case analysis, and trend identification
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling tools
- Experience with planning tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is preferred
