About the Role
This position provides analysis and reporting of financial, operational, and marketing information to support the Sales & Marketing organization in meeting and/or exceeding established goals.
Responsibilities
- Set up customer branding, pricing, shipping location, available products, and activate accounts.
- Maintain marketing agreements and programs for customers.
- Track monthly sales and maintain monthly schedule of accruals based on marketing agreements, making appropriate journal entries.
- Maintain promotion management system to track all promotions and record appropriate monthly accruals based on shipment of orders, providing analysis of promotional trends, identifying and communicating trends and opportunities.
- Create program payments and route for appropriate approvals.
- Reconcile account balances.
- Communicate and help to resolve any discrepancies related to customer deductions based on marketing agreements.
- Track displays in compliance with financial policies.
- Serve as backup for company fleet vehicles.
- Provide analysis and ad hoc reporting to support financial decisions.
- Develop checklists, SOP, and work papers for all duties.
- Proactively identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the annual budget development process and all related materials.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of financial experience is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in general accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with dynamic financial software is preferred.

- Aptitude for accuracy, attention to detail, and working under deadlines.
- Exceptional computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial and business journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively with customers/clients and co-workers to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers/clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community and public.
- Ability to build effective business relationships and work in a team environment.
- Capable of handling and protecting highly confidential information.
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts like exponents, algebra, quadratic equations, and basic logic functions such as if-then-else statements.
- Ability to apply mathematical operations to tasks such as statistical and financial math calculations, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
