Job Summary
ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Financial Analyst who will support financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and performance management across SG&A, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and New Product Introduction (NPI) activities. This role partners closely with Operations, Product Management, and Functional Leaders to provide insights that drive cost discipline, margin improvement, and successful product launches.Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- (30%) SG&A & Operating Expense Management
- Support monthly close, forecasting, and annual budgeting for SG&A functions
- Partner with functional leaders in Marketing, Engineering, and R&D Teams by providing financial planning and analysis support
- Perform variance analysis vs. budget, forecast, and prior year; clearly explain drivers
- Identify cost optimization opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives
- (30%) Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) & Margin Analysis
- Analyze material, labor, freight, and overhead cost drivers impacting gross margin
- Support standard cost updates, cost rollups, and manufacturing variance analysis
- Partner with Operations and Supply Chain on cost reduction and efficiency initiatives
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate margin impacts of cost changes
- (25%) New Product Introduction (NPI) Financial Support
- Partner with Product Management and Engineering on NPI business cases and ROI analysis
- Support pricing, cost targets, and margin expectations for new product launches
- Track post-launch performance vs. business case and highlight risks/opportunities
- Ensure NPI financials are incorporated into forecasts and long-range plans
- (15%) Reporting & Business Partnering
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for leadership
- Build clear, concise presentations that communicate financial results and insights
- Support ad hoc analysis, scenario modeling, and strategic initiatives as needed
- Continuously improve reporting tools, models, and processes
