Working closely with leadership, including the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this role provides valuable exposure to full-cycle accounting processes while contributing to the company's continued growth and financial success.Location: Phoenix, Arizona, United States (Hybrid)ResponsibilitiesAccounting OperationsMaintain and update accounting records and general ledger entries.Process and reconcile financial transactions accurately and timely.Support daily accounting operations and financial recordkeeping.Assist with maintaining accurate financial documentation.Ensure financial records comply with company policies and accounting standards.Support full-cycle accounting activities.Financial Reporting & AnalysisAnalyze budgets and financial data to support business decision-making.Prepare expense reports and financial summaries.Assist with the preparation of financial reports and supporting schedules.Monitor financial performance and identify reporting discrepancies.Provide analytical support for budgeting and forecasting activities.Generate reports for management review.Month-End & Year-End ClosePerform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.Support month-end and year-end closing processes.Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation.Verify the accuracy and completeness of financial records.Assist in resolving reconciliation issues.Help ensure timely completion of financial close activities.Audit & CompliancePrepare documentation to support internal and external audits.Assist with regulatory and financial compliance requirements.Support tax filings and payment processes.Ensure adherence to company financial policies and procedures.Maintain organized audit documentation.Contribute to continuous compliance and risk management initiatives.Collaboration & Professional DevelopmentWork closely with the CFO and finance leadership on accounting initiatives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.Participate in process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.Contribute ideas that improve accounting and financial workflows.Build expertise across accounting, reporting, and compliance functions.Support a collaborative and team-oriented work environment.RequirementsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.Preferred QualificationsTwo or more years of accounting or finance experience.Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage Intacct.Experience supporting month-end and year-end close processes.Familiarity with audit preparation and regulatory compliance.Experience with budgeting, expense analysis, and financial reporting.BenefitsHybrid work environment.Performance-based bonus opportunities.Direct mentorship from executive leadership, including the CFO.Career advancement opportunities.Exposure to full-cycle accounting processes.Collaborative and team-oriented workplace culture.Professional development across accounting, financial reporting, and compliance.Casual office environment.Opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a high-growth organization.Equal Opportunity EmployerCFS is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where all qualified applicants receive equal consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
