Financial Analyst (Hybrid)
About the Role
The Finance Analyst supports the organization's accounting and finance operations by maintaining financial records, assisting with financial reporting, supporting audits, analyzing budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Working closely with leadership, including the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this role provides valuable exposure to full-cycle accounting processes while contributing to the company's continued growth and financial success.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update accounting records and general ledger entries.
- Process and reconcile financial transactions accurately and timely.
- Support daily accounting operations and financial recordkeeping.
- Avoidance of financial documentation.
- Ensure financial records comply with company policies and accounting standards.
- Support full-cycle accounting activities.
- Analyze budgets and financial data to support business decision-making.
- Prepare expense reports and financial summaries.
- Avoidance of preparing financial reports and supporting schedules.
- Monitor financial performance and identify reporting discrepancies.
- Provide analytical support for budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Generate reports for management review.
- Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Avoidance of helping resolve reconciliation issues.
- Help ensure timely completion of financial close activities.
- Work closely with the CFO and finance leadership on accounting initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
- Participate in process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Contribute ideas that improve accounting and financial workflows.
- Support a collaborative and team-oriented work environment.
Requirements
- Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Two or more years of accounting or finance experience.
- Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage Intacct.
- Experience supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
- Familiarity with audit preparation and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with budgeting, expense analysis, and financial reporting.
