About the Role

The Financial & Operations Analyst supports financial reporting, operational analysis, and business performance initiatives across the organization. This entry-level role works closely with Finance, Sales, and Operations teams to monitor profitability initiatives, analyze business performance, develop reporting dashboards, and provide leadership with actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.

Location: Dallas, Texas (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Analysis
  • Monitor the financial performance of cost-saving and profitability initiatives.
  • Compare actual performance against established baselines and targets.
  • Analyze financial results to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support financial planning through accurate data analysis.
  • Assist leadership with performance reporting and financial insights.
• Operational Reporting
  • Collect, analyze, and reconcile operational and financial data from internal systems.
  • Prepare recurring operational and financial reports.
  • Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Track key operational performance indicators.
  • Support business performance monitoring across departments.
• Dashboard & Data Management
  • Develop and maintain dashboards that provide meaningful business insights.
  • Create reports highlighting financial and operational trends.
  • Identify data inconsistencies and resolve reporting discrepancies.
  • Maintain reporting databases and analytical tools.
  • Support continuous improvement of reporting processes.
• Business Performance Analysis
  • Evaluate operational performance against strategic objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze profitability drivers across business functions.
  • Prepare variance analyses and performance summaries.
  • Support initiatives focused on improving financial results.
• Executive Reporting
  • Prepare charts, reports, and presentation materials for leadership meetings.
  • Develop concise summaries of financial and operational performance.
  • Present analytical findings in a clear and understandable format.
  • Support executive decision-making with accurate business insights.
  • Assist in preparing recurring management reports.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Finance, Sales, and Operations teams to understand business performance.
  • Gather business requirements for reporting and analysis.
  • Communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives and strategic projects.
  • Build collaborative relationships across departments.

Qualifications

• Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret large datasets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to present analytical findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Experience working with financial reporting or operational analytics.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools and reporting dashboards.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, or profitability analysis.
