Job Description
Financial Analyst – GLM Mortgage Accounting will support the Wintrust Finance Corporate Controller/Accounting Department. Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor, interpret, and post activity for operating bank accounts, cash clearing accounts, and wire transfer accounts
- Complete general ledger entries and daily reconciliations for mortgage related activity across multiple loan origination systems
- Work with the AVP Finance Manager and Accounting department in the Month End Close process
- Responsible for various general ledger account analysis
- Maintain and improve quality results by following standards and recommending improved policies and procedures
- Take accountability for the achievement of goals set forth by management
- Continually develop and improve financial reports
- Work as part of a team and effectively support colleagues

What You’ll Do

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
- A minimum of 2 years of experience preferred; experience in mortgage industry, knowledge of mortgage banking application and Workday GL system is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills required, including XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, complex formulas, pivot tables, macros/VBA, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Outlook
- Ability to work under pressure with strict time deadlines and attention to detail; ability to multi-task
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication (both written and oral) skills; excellent time-management skills

Compensation
The estimated salary range for this role is $50,000 - $65,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills and experience.
