About the role

We are seeking a Financial Analyst for our First Quality Tissue Enterprises office located in Great Neck, NY. This position provides transactional and analytical support for general accounting and financial reporting processes, including reconciling balance sheet accounts and participating in accounting/financial projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support monthly close activities, including creation and entry of general ledger journal entries and timely drafting of financial statements and related schedules.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and document financial analysis projects such as financial and expense performance, depreciation, and working capital.
  • Participate in intercompany initiatives to enhance financial reporting, strengthen standardization of financial processes, and improve policy documentation and internal controls.
  • Provide analysis for forward-looking financial and business-related projects, including budgets/forecasts and trend analysis in manufacturing, sales, finance, and general business conditions.
  • Deliver financial support and analytics to various individuals and departments throughout the organization.
  • Oversee the approval and payment of invoices, resolve Procure-to-Pay issues, and develop processes to improve and automate workflows.
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively, contributing to or leading moderately complex projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 1–3 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP basic principles and elements of internal controls.
  • Understanding of manufacturing accounting environment.
  • Experience in financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Ability to work independently and lead complex projects.

Pay

Estimated annual base salary range for this position is $70,000–$75,000. Base pay is only part of our total compensation package, which also includes an attractive annual discretionary bonus.
