Financial Analyst (Class of 2027) - Financial Restructuring - Chicago

About the role
The Financial Restructuring Group hires new Financial Analysts to work specifically within the group, assisting with a variety of transactions, including creditor- and debtor-side restructurings and distressed mergers & acquisitions. The group offers a unique opportunity for Financial Analysts to work on projects that provide exposure to various financial advisory and investment banking products and industries.
Responsibilities
- Advising clients in out-of-court and Chapter 11 restructurings
- Debt and equity financings
- Distressed M&A advisory services
- Special-situation principal investing
- Participating in complex negotiations on behalf of clients
Financial Analysts are typically members of deal teams comprising at least one Managing Director, Vice President, Associate, and Financial Analyst.
Requirements
- B.A./B.S./B.B.A. in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Applied Economics is required, as is course work in accounting and finance
- Graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027
Qualifications
- Strong financial and computer skills, as well as a fundamental understanding of valuation theory, methodologies, and applications
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff
- Strong analytical abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Pay
The firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range for this role at the time of posting is $120,000. Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience and the location where this position may be filled. The total compensation package may also include discretionary incentive compensation.
