Financial Analyst - Business Valuation

The Analyst will contribute to the success of the firm by providing expert opinions and advisory services, acting as an independent third party, performing business valuations, and assisting clients. They will support all members of their team on a variety of healthcare engagements.
Responsibilities
- Gather information and data such as financial statements, operational reports, industry and market research, and any other data required to thoroughly provide the contracted product to the client.
- Construct and take ownership of complex financial models.
- Perform various financial analyses, develop financial models, conduct due diligence, and complete report writing.
- Review own work to ensure excellence.
- Participate in meetings and site visits as necessary and determined by leaders.
- Keep all projects and deliverables on the time schedule established with the client. Continually inform relevant team members of project progress and immediately inform leaders if circumstances arise to impede or jeopardize that timeline.
- Show initiative to become a thought leader within the industry by helping author internal and external content for articles and presentations.
- Complete administrative functions, mandatory training, and other internal responsibilities in a timely manner.
- Remain flexible and adaptable in work schedule and assignments as defined by departmental and company need.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a positive work environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Demonstrated experience in financial modeling and analysis.
- Actively pursue continuing education and professional certifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA), American Society of Appraisers (ASA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced experience in Excel.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
